Kovalam is a beach town on the Arabian Sea around 16 km outside Thiruvananthapuram(Trivandrum) City in the Thiruvananthapuram District in Kerala, a state in south India. There are a number of beach resorts in and around Kovalam.

"Kovalam" means a grove of coconut trees and true to its name the village offers an endless sight of coconut trees. The crescent-shaped beach has three parts. The southern most beach , and the most popular, is light house beach. It offers an amazing sight of Vizhinjam mosque. Swimming and bathing are very refreshing and exhilirating in the waves. One can walk into the sea for about 100 metres without loosing ground. This cove is also the safest place for swimming. At many coastal places there are beautiful patches of coral reefs. The underwater views, which are visible during snorkeling, are really marvellous.

Kovalam is finding a new significance in the light of several Ayurvedic salons, and recuperation and regeneration resorts which provide a slew of Ayurvedic treatments for the tourists. The virgin beaches on the southern side of Kovalam upto Poovar is enchanting for body and soul.

Day 1:

Arrival at the airport. Transfer to the Kovalam beach resort. At leisure and Overnight at the Resort.

Day 2 to day 6:

At leisure for independent activities.

Day 7:

Transfer to Kumarakom.

KUMARAKOM

Kumarakom the charming emerald peninsula jutting into the ever-effervescent Vembanad Lake takes you into the heart of the scenic lake where you'll come across plenty of traditional country crafts, boats and canoes. The fresh water of the lake runs into the mainland making a labyrinth of lagoons, brooks, canals and waterways. The backwater houses a variety of species of both fauna and flora. They are rich with marine life namely the exclusive 'Kumarakom Karimeen' (pearl spotted fish), Konju (tiger prawns), Njandu.

Day 8:

Arrival at the Backwater resort In Kumarakom .At leisure and Overnight at the Resort.

Day 9 to day 13:

At leisure for independent activities.

Day 14:

Transfer to Cochin.

Day 15:

Arrival at the Cochin resort. At leisure and Overnight at the Resort.

Day 16 to day 20:

At leisure for independent activities.

Day 21:

Transfer to Airport/ Railway station.
