- Bhubaneswar, the capital of Orissa, is known also as the "Temple City of India". Bhubaneswar is an important Hindu pilgrimage centre. - Kohima, the capital city of Nagaland lies smugly wearing a veil at the eastern frontiers of the mighty Himalayas. The city of Kohima was made in by the British as an observation post for the eastern region.
